Innovative Concepts in Entertainment, Inc. (ICE) announced this week that production has commenced on its new 2 player skill redemption game, Frogger. Units began shipping out to customers January 14th.
Frogger™, an official licensed property of Konami, was co-developed with Raw Thrills, who handled the software adaptation of this classic Konami title originally released in 1981. Frogger™ has since become one of the most popular and recognisable video games the industry has ever seen.
ICE has now transformed Frogger™ into a video redemption game that awards players with tickets based on how far across the pond Frogger™ gets. The game play is simple, but addictive and appealing to all ages. This two player interactive game has quick coin game appeal and the collections to back it up. ICE and Raw Thrills have worked together to combine the very best video technology and graphics played on a 42" high definition monitor with an awesome eye catching cabinet and 3D marquee.
Coppola started by saying this about the game, "Frogger™ was originally put on test in June of 2010 and showed fantastic earnings in a very 'unspectacular' prototype cabinet. We then took the proto and really brought the cabinet to life, gave it some dimension, some bright colors, and from there just let the brilliant video content from Konami and Raw Thrills wow the players! From day one this version of Frogger has been a hit and it's made money in every arcade we've tested since the IAAPA Show in November 2010."
Coppola continued, "Working with the Raw Thrills design team has been an excellent experience. Clearly they have been the industry leaders on the video side of things and combining ICE's expertise in redemption with this video classic has produced a real 'must have' skill redemption game for all family entertainment centers globally."
