New exhibitor, Mocap Games, will be making an inspiring debut at the upcoming EAG International Expo, and will be showcasing a variety of innovative technologies from the world of digital entertainment.

Mocap Games is a manufacturer and developer of immersive entertainment experience and is part of the Animazoo group (which also includes the interactive animation specialists, Animalive). Mocap's systems have been used in a wide variety of applications including the film industry and they have worked with numerous game developers such as Ubisoft.

"The company's decision to take this technology into the leisure attractions market has already earned [Mocap games] two IAAPA awards with our Animalive systems, and our client portfolio includes some of the top leisure and entertainment brands including Merlin Entertainments, Butlins, Warner Brothers and Sea Life Centres. We believe that motion capture technology allows FEC's and attractions to offer an experience that cannot be replicated in the home entertainment environment. Whether our games are on a pay-to-play basis or form part of an attraction, they are sure fire business builders," commented Paul Collimore, the Operations Manager for Mocap games.

He also commented on his hopes for the company following their EAG debut, saying "As new entrants to the amusements and attractions sector, we're very much looking to the EAG International community for feedback on our premium simulator-style new games. Along with our Managing Director, Ali Kord, the technical support team and I are looking to demonstrating these exciting new games."

Mocap will be showcasing the game concept where the player interacts with the game content by wearing a motion capture suit. The simulator style is applicable to games such as Sci-Shoota, which use an enclosed arena style environment, as well as games like Vertigo, a rock-climbing adventure game, and are displayed on large HD screens.

The Sci-Shoota has been confirmed to appear at EAG following it's appearance at the IAAPA show a few months back. The game is a two to six player immersive experience which literally puts the player at the heart of the game. Players sit on a pivoting seat, wearing a visor-like display head piece, and the actions of the virtual mechanical robot are controlled via a quick-to-fit upper body suit (pictured above).

Another exciting addition to the look forward to at EAG International! If you'd like to take a glimpse at how the game works, I've sourced a video from Youtube (Jake Slack):
