UNIS Showcased New Virtual Reality Experience at GTI Asia Show
UNIS showcased a range of new products at the recent GTI Asia Amusement Show in Guangzhou, but the most exciting development was their new virtual reality experience game they had on show.

UNIS worked with VR developer Virtuix Omni and Hero Entertainment to create a platform that allows five players to experience a full immersion version of VR gaming. This was a unique and innovative product at the show which drew a significant amount of attention.

According to the company's press release, "The UNIS VR platform allows the players to control the movement inside the VR games with their whole body. The players use innovative omnidirectional [sic] treadmills by Virtuix Omni to move around inside the game. This system allows the players to achieve a better level of immersion."

Other products on show from UNIS included a new self-contained pusher Mayan Kingdom, an funny new showpiece called Crazy Clock (licensed from Coastal Amusements), a new easy-to-assemble basketball game titled Extreme Shot, a new racer called Ultra Race, a video bowling game called Lane Master, a 4-player video shooting gallery titled Outback Hunter, and a children-oriented hidden-object game titled Zoo Explorer.

The company also mentioned, "As a special mention we would like to point out our new soft play oriented product Snow'n'Glow. This is a winter themed interactive ball-pit filled with translucent balls. The best part about it is that the balls are lit up from below, making them glow with a variety of hues. On top of that, children can throw the balls into one of several interactive holes, and Snow'n'Glow will display characters that react to the ball throws on the screen."

It's exciting to see more and more companies and factories coming on board and engaging with virtual reality technology, and it will be interesting to see how players respond to the designed-for-arcade VR games.
