Capcom breathes new life into another long running series, this time the "Pang" series. The Pang series focuses on skill, timing and quick reflexes.
The main objective of the game is to burst all the balloons on each stage with your harpoon gun. Each time a balloon is hit it breaks into 2 smaller balloons which move around the screen at a faster pace. These balloons in turn break into 2 smaller, faster balloon, this continues until the player pops the smallest balloon and it vanishes.
Over the years the series has evolved to incorporate more playable characters, modes, weapons, and other power up items. In this version of the game players can select from World tour, Expert and Panic mode.
Item and weapons once again play a big part in the game. Items and weapons are obtained by either bursting special ballons or hitting parts of the scenery.
One of the new features of the game is the background that the player is playing against has weather conditions that effect gameplay. eg the a windy stages will blow the balloon in different directions and cause them to suddenly move faster.
