This Upright version of Deadstorm Pirates is much more compact than the original theatre cabinet version, making all the fun of Deadstorm Pirates available to a larger variety of locations. The game has a whole range of features, including recoil weapons, flexible gameplay, and a bonus fifth stage level.
Deadstorm Pirates Upright allows for more flexible gameplay, with four selectable stages that allow players to play the game in which ever order they like, creating a unique adventure every time and encourages replay. There is also a bonus fifth stage for players who manage to finish all four stages, and players are rewarded for co-operative play with more points.
Players use the guns to destroy enemies, while the steering wheel is to avoid sea creatures and navigate the treacherous waters and tunnels prevalent in the game. The weapon recoil feature creates a more realistic feel for players.
