A compact design of Sega's centre piece gaming machine, this version is a four player set up with a 60" LCD screen and the player stations positioned in a 'Horse Shoe' shape. It is designed for the operator who does not have the space or budget for the larger versions. Whilst the game play remains the same, the smaller footprint will open up a whole new market for the game.

The previous models of Derby Owners Club have been the fore runners in the use of the Sega Data Memory Cards, a precursor to the new smart cards being used by the manufacturer to store players horse data - with many players building up stables of hundreds of horses. The new format is much in the style of the now popular four player plasma AWP style cabinets.
