Pop'n Music is the first game in Konami's "Pop'n Music" video game series. The music rhythm game features 9 large coloured buttons on the control panel which are organised in two rows. After you select a song, the screen will show 9 coloured "pop notes" descending towards the timing bar. You must watch the screen, and hit the corresponding colored buttons in time with the music and the notes on the screen.

There are 3 play levels - Beginner, Normal or Expert. The music includes a variety of genres including pop, reggae, techno, rap, disco, and Latin.
