Power Smash 2 is the sequel to the very popular Power Smash / Virtua Tennis sport game by Sega. Some major improvements have been made to this version while keeping to the in-depth gameplay and easy to operate controls that made the original such a hit.

Some of the improvements include the introduction of professional women's tennis players to the games roster, including the Williams sisters. This allows womens, mens and mixed-doubles matches. The range of shots has also increased - the players can now perform slice, topspin and lobs.

To add more realism, the players movements have been motion captured and more detail has been given to the judges, ball retrievers and fans. The balls also bounce differently depending on the court surface, which include hard, clay, grass and carpet.

Power Smash 2 will be sold under the name Virtua Tennis 2 in some countries.

Power Smash 2 is available for both the Naomi and Naomi GD-ROM system.
