I, Robot is the first videogame that used 3-D filled polygons. The game placed the player in a landscape of surrealistic shapes and sounds. Using a Hall-effect joystick, two fire buttons and two buttons to control the players viewing angle, the player controls Robot #1984 as he tries to clear each level of red tiled polygons.

After each level, the Robot flies though space to the next level with a similar scene and task.
