The Grid is a video game that combines elements of both fighting and FPS games. The players objectives is to accumulate as many points as possible to advance to the next level.

The action takes place in a virtual world called the grid, where the player uses weapons, super moves and hand to hand combat to beat human or computer opponents. To gain an edge the player can find ammunition, health and money placed throughout the arena.

The player controls 1 of 8 characters via a control panel consisting of a trackball, a super move button and a joystick.

To encourage repeat play, players can also store their relevant information, such as name, last level conquered and points accumulated with the customised keypad attached to the machine.
