TL1 Motion Simulator - Prepare to be Moved!

This article comes from Highwaygames.com

The TL1 motion simulator from Motion Simulation, founded by Jonathan Bell in 2008, is the world's first 180 degree, spherical projector screen and variable driving position cockpit. The TL1 was designed, developed and manufactured in the UK in co-operation with the Ariel Motor Company - creator of the world's fastest cars, the Ariel Atom - offers a currently unrivaled and immersive simulation experience.

"There has always been a gap in the quality of experience between simulation software and hardware, like screens, cockpits, steering wheels and pedals. The technology and information has been there in the software and whilst the steering wheels and pedals have improved greatly the visuals and driving environment let the experience down. we have given high value to every part of the simulator to ensure our customers get the most realistic experience available," says Bell.

Motion Simulation Ltd aims to take the simulator as close as possible to the real thing, and using Bell's knowledge and experience with racing cars and simulators they have managed to create something closer to the real deal then any simulation machine before it. With sculpted fibre-glass panels, a 180 degree wraparound projector screen (which is two metres wide and consists of 7 million megapixels) that spreads across your peripheral vision, and extra sensory elements produced by electro-magnetic transducers, this unit sends players into the hyper-real.

The unit is compatible with Xbox, playstation and PC, and works in both a home or FEC environment. The plug 'n' play package, including PC and projectors, is approximately 16, 500 (GBP) and other packages available include a screen and cockpit combo for 11,500 (GBP), or the cockpit only is 1,200 (GBP).
