An Interest Mix of New Products at Taiwan's GTI Expo 2001

The first thing you notice about GTI is its focus on the arcade amusement industry with a blend of arcade machines, parts and also services. This is in comparision to Hong Kong's AAE where the blend is more towards theme parks and larger venues.One of the main attractions this year is the Fight Club, IGS new machine which combines dance music, a floor pad and 3 punch targets. A player needs to move to the music and follow the punch pattern on the screen whilst punching the targets. The company also showed a rap/music machine together with Knights of Valour 2 and Bee Storm.
The gaming machines were also very well presented and the quality of the machines was very good. A full report on this show soon, but the main talking point of international visitors was a new move to replace the chocolates and toys from the crane machines with live crabs and fish.
