ASI 2001 Round Up

This article comes from Highwaygames.com

The ASI this year was perhaps the smallest one ever, however there seemed to be a pretty good turn out to see the new games on offer. Lazertron has a few new games including Coynz a new coin roll down and their
Itbox which enhances their Arcade planet virtua redemption on an arcade cabinet.

Ice had their new game Wheel of Fortune which caused a lot of attention with the operators. Sega showed their new Baseball game World series 2001 and the Wild Rider in a nice sit down motor bike cabinet. Namco among other things had their new Turret Tower game that played very well. The main new one from Konami was the Boxing game, in the same theme as the Police 911 and another sure winner. Other very good games were found on the stands of Ferris- VR Global- Greystone.

The Dance Dance machines have now arrived in the US in a big way with the new Pump it Up by Andamiro complete with Korean dancers putting on a very energetic show. All in all some good new machines to keep us all going for another year at least!!
