With a lot of doomy predictions, the Australian Trade Show continues with some new faces and fresh ideas. The main attraction was to be Mendes who booked the largest and most prominent booth at the show, however with their financial problems present, this was quickly filled with new and innovative products & ideas from a number of people. Dreamcast units were mentioned on a regular basis, but noticably, both Village Entertainment and Leisure & Allied were absent from the Trade Show.

Interactive Imagery released Ozi Rules 2010, a futuristic Australian Rules game which is currently trialing very well in Adelaide Pub locations. President Gary Ford said the plan was to create a strong tournament environment. There are also plans for other sports games to be released using the same hardware.

R3 released their Stanley Putz series of games, a comical figure who tries to save the day. Cow Encounters, Time Bomb and Monster Mush will all be available in kit form targeting the ticket redemption market. Andrew Rosato, R3 Managing Director, said the concept was to produce good quality upgrade kits where operators can upgrade their games easily (changing HDD).

AMD showcased their Golden Tee Fore Tournament machines and concept. With the help of Bob Fay, ITs Vice President, AMD showed how the system can work and the benefits of tournament play.

Highwaygames showed new upcoming concepts and how manufacturers can easily promote their products for free to potential customers, whilst amusement machine operators can view the latest news and information, and also buy and sell amongst other operators.

Big Top Amusements was the new distributor on the scene with a variety of new products from the Korean market. The Director, Andrew Saava, had a number of good products such as Hammer and Toy Box.

Armada showcased Laserstar Saturn, whilst Storelli Sales showed a range of products including the Pot Black range of pool tables. Microcoin showed their new QL coin mech, George Cambell again was very well presented showcasing their new Country Classic jukebox.

Glennis Corley was voted NAMOA Coinperson of the year for her dedication to the industry.

Special mention needs to go to the commitment of the NAMOA to organise the Australian Trade Show with thanks to Tony Argery for his hard work and help.
