Exidy Making Brand New Games for Atari 2600, ColecoVision & Intellivision
Famous retro arcade company, Exidy, has announced this week via their new Facebook page that they will be making brand new games for the Atari 2600, ColecoVision and Intellivision retrogaming consoles!
Exidy was founded in 1974 by the late Pete Kauffman and was one of the largest creators of arcade video games during the golden age of arcade and up till around 1986. The name ‘Exidy’ was a portmanteau of the words "Excellence in Dynamics." Notable games released by Exidy include Circus, Death Race, Star Fire, Venture, Pepper II, Mouse Trap, Targ and Spectar.
The company information on their Facebook describes Exidy as “Developing & Publishing brand new games for Atari 2600, Intellivision & ColecoVision” and the company made the official announcement on May 8th:
“Brand new Exidy games coming next month!

Highway Games reached out to Exidy, but there was no comment at the time of writing.
This is an exciting development for retrogaming fans and it will be interesting to see how the company develops producing new games for old platforms. We will update this story as more information becomes available!
