IGX 2009

IGX, the breakaway show from London's ATEI, has been hailed a success by exhibitors. Although only 2,000 visitors were recorded, exhibitors praised the quality of those who attended.

After the event, one of the InterGame principals, David Snook, said: "We are not going to play those show organisers' silly mind games over numbers. We had 2,000 genuine buyers through the doors, nearly half of them on the second day. Our exhibitors tell us that they were extremely high quality, there were no 'tyre kickers' and that nearly all of them did as much business - sometimes more - than they did at Earls Court, and at a fraction of the cost."

This was backed by Chris Black from Sound Leisure, who said: "We had a fabulous show. The organisation was superb and we enjoyed levels of business as good as or better than at Earls Court."
