Katsuhiro Harada Unveiled New Tekken 7 Saudi Arabia Character Shaheen on Twitter

Tekken producer, Katsuhiro Harada, unveiled Tekken 7 chracter on Twitter on the 1st of January: hailing from the kingdom of Saudi Arabia comes Shaheen. We heard about this character some time ago when the Tekken team was asking for feedback on the concept art for an Arab character.

In comparing the final design to the concept art there doesn't seem to be many notceable differences, except for the placement of Shaheen's sword. You can see the original concept art and new final design below.

Shaheen joins the rank of new characters for Tekken 7 including Lucky Chloe, although feedback to the Arab character appears to be much more positive than it was to cosplay cat girl.

Harada also confirmed via his Twitter that there were more characters to be unveiled. With only a month left to go before the release, the excitement of fans is palpable. Tekken 7 is scheduled for a February 2015 release in Japanese arcades.
