King of Fighters '98 to receive update

SNK Playmore Japan has announced that the arcade version of King of Fighters '98 will be receiving an update.

King of Fighters '98 is one of the most popular games in the long running fighting series, and the game still has a devoted following. A PS2 remake of King of Fighters '98 has been in development for a number of years, and will be released in early 2008. According to Arcadia magazine, it is likely that the arcade update will use the PS2 version as a base. It is still unclear which hardware system the game will utilise, or if the update will include any new content.
