Leak of Rumoured Ghostbusters Pinball Machine Backglass by Stern

There has been speculation about the possibility of Stern developing a Ghostbusters Pinball machine circulating for some time now, but adding fuel to the long burning flame is a newly leaked image of the rumoured Ghostbusters backglass featuring the Stern logo.The rumour mill has gone into overdrive, with reports that Stern is potentially looking to release a Ghostbuster’s pinball machine in 2016, to tie in with the Ghostbuster all-female remake (despite the backglass obviously paying homage to the original movie).
The backglass features the classic cast comprised of Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray, Harold Ramis, Ernie Hudson, and Sigourney Weaver from the original 1984 movie, plus the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, Slimer, and the two demon hounds known as “The Gatekeeper” and “The Keymaster”.
There’s quite a bit of speculation about what the Limited Edition version of this machine would be and whether it would show Slimer or the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man as the feature of the artwork. It’s obvious from the self-sustaining hype surrounding the image “leak” that there is definitely interest in a pinball game with a Ghostbusters theme.
This is also confirmed by custom Ghostbuster cabinets and The Pinball Arcade virtual pinball table, which features Stay Puft and Slimer interactive toys. Seeing what fans and other studios have created can give us some ideas of what could be expected from a Ghostbusters pinball machine, if Stern were to make an official machine.
