Money Controls Popular Lumina On Display at ATEI 2005
Money Controls will bring its popular Lumina note validator, along with the rest of its product range, to stand 1130 at London's ATEI, from 25-27 January 2005. As a world-renowned, established manufacturer of components for secure money systems, Money Controls is the industry's only supplier of total amusement solutions, for notes in, coins in, coins out, tickets in, tickets out. For 2005 the spotlight is on Money Control's range of note validators, including Lumina - pictured, the most vital product for OEMs and manufacturers looking for a trouble-free note acceptor for both new machines and retrofits. Based on world-proven Ardac technology, Lumina is a compact, modular system, offering high performance note handling for a wide range of applications. Designed for acceptance of virtually all of the world's note currencies, including the Euro, Lumina has a very high first time acceptance of street-grade banknotes – and has been given the thumbs-up by some of the biggest names in the business. Pay-to-play giant Leisure Link has approved Lumina to be incorporated into a number of machines destined for pubs and LBOs after tests revealed a much-reduced level of note related service calls. Electronic entertainment expert Gamestec applauded Lumina's abilities in rejecting photocopied notes, generating a "note jammed" response, with communication and management of each event controlled through the ccTalk serial network. Meanwhile, market-leading operator/distributor Crown Leisure has also contracted Money Controls to supply Lumina for amusement and gaming machines throughout the UK. A full introduction of Lumina to the market in 2004 included detailed presentations and training sessions at major UK operator depots. Twelve months on Lumina continues to prove itself as a truly "fit and forget" product with more than 25,000 units already sold throughout over 20 countries.

Other products warranting an appraisal at ATEI include the MC7200 note acceptor, designed specifically for vending and specialist OEM applications, suitable for notes 62-72mm in width. Like Lumina, the robust, low cost, high performance note acceptor and stacker has a very high first time acceptance rate of street-grade banknotes and offers fast trouble-free note-handling for multiple applications. Both Lumina and the MC7200 are available with protocols ICT and ccTalk – the BACTA-approved, open standard, serial communication for increased security, comprehensive diagnostics and detailed status reporting. Worthy of note amongst Money Controls' extensive selection of hoppers at ATEI is the Serial Compact Hopper 2 Disc range, which provides the high security, high-speed payout with different discs for varying coin sets. The Euro Disc covers 50 Cents, 2 Euros and 1 Euro and the E1 Disc covers 6 European coins: Russia's 2 and 5 Roubles; Kazakhstan's 50 and 100 Tenge; and the Ukraine's 1 Hryvnya and 50 Kopijok. And finally, for visitors seeking a high security coin mechanism, Money Controls can demonstrate: the SR3 3.5 ins coin acceptor, supported by a range of 3-way sorters and frontplates; and the industry's premium 5ins product, the SR5, available with ccTalk and offering excellent true coin acceptance and a variety of options, including 4-way sorting and a selection of front plates.
