Namco Europe recently held a special European showcase event staged at the companies headquarters in West London. The event gave buyers the chance to preview Bandai Namco Games' upcoming products including new video driver Dead Heat, Raw Thrills' motorcycling sequel Super Bikes 2, prize vendor Dunk Tank Prize, the new Apple Industries photo booth, Pac-Man's Arcade Party and a prototype version of the ticket redemption game Pocket Typhoon, which is the follow-up to Crazy Typhoon.

Namco also unveiled a production model of Go Go Grand Prix, a unique slot car racing game which was first seen in prototype form at the EAG Expo in January 2010. Since then, the cabinet has been redesigned, reshaped and reconfigured to suit the requirements of European players.

Reflecting on the event, Commercial Director John Brennan said: "It was a tremendous success both for us and our customers. The entire team was able to sit with customers, talk them through the games and explain their features and benefits in a relaxed environment."

"We've been pushing for the early delivery of sample games which has enabled us to really interrogate machine performance on site. What this means is that we are able to go to market with strong test figures and lots of confidence in the products that we're marketing." He added: "No one has been immune from the economic downturn. In terms of product, operators are continuing to invest but only in the best of breed games that deliver consistently strong cash in box figures, which is exactly where we as a company are at."

The full product offering from Namco Europe will be shown from stand 530 at the EAG show London, January, 2011.
