New Atomiswave Arcade Game Platform

Sammy Co., Ltd. has entered into an agreement with SNK PLAYMORE CORPORATION regarding the Atomiswave platform whereby SNK PLAYMORE, inventor of numerous popular series of hand-to-hand combat arcade games, has agreed to transfer the development and the supply of future arcade titles from NEOGEO to Atomiswave.

The company is currently hard at work on development of a game that was announced at the 41st Annual Amusement Machines Show, under the working title of "THE KING OF FIGHTERS NEOWAVE." Titles confirmed for forthcoming development are listed below.

The King of Fighters 2004 (Working Title)
This will be the 10th installment in the SNK PLAYMORE flagship arcade game series, which has become synonymous with hand-to-hand combat games. Users love it not only for its superior game play, but also for the serial nature of the milieu and the characters alike.

SAMURAI SHODOWN AW (Working Title)
The original samurai sword action game series, this title has won strong support from players through five installments to date for its focus on the samurai setting, its cutting and slashing action, and entertainment value. Numerous highly distinctive characters also appear, including Nakoruru and Haohmaru, which adds to the attraction of the series.

METAL SLUG 6 (Working Title)
The pinnacle of shooting action games, this series gives players the thrill of shooting things up, together with unique dot graphics and gimmicks full of humor, all of which combine to deliver a high-voltage impact.
