During IAAPA last month, MTV and Devecka displayed a prototype their new "MTV Drumscape Drum Challenge" redemption game. Drum Challenge provides a fun way for kids and adults to test their drumming speed and accuracy, states John Devecka Company President. MTV Drum Challenge has three drum pads that light up in different sequences. When the player enters their money, an LED timer shows 20 seconds on the clock. The music track starts and the pads light up with slow patterns that increase in speed and difficulty. The player then hits the lighted drum or drums as fast as they can and is scored on his or her accuracy and speed by the LED vertical score display. The scores start with a garage band and end with Rock Star as the highest score. With each level that is achieved the cheers get more intense.
Drum Challenge offers operator adjustable features such as ticket payout, game volume, song style, and difficulty level. Unit dimensions are: H 78 ¼" X W 39 ¾" X D 33". Devecka President, John Devecka stated, " the MTV Drum Challenge was so well received that customers were placing orders after just seeing the prototype at the show."
Eric Berkowitz, VP of Sales states, "The game is new direction in redemption, we believe it will be top redemption piece." "Let's face it, what 8 year old wouldn't be excited to play the drums?" Aldrin Roque, Vice President states, "MTV Drum Challenge is just the first music redemption game, we expect to release our keyboard, and guitar redemption games soon after Drum Challenge is released."
MTV Drum Challenge will be available in March.
