Malaysia: More than 90% of illegal video arcades (many with horse-racing gaming machines) have been closed down following the Cabinet's ruling to close them by next month.MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Ling Liong Sik said the party's campaign against the gaming machines and Ecstasy pills was very successful.As reported in 'The Star' "Many people have been supporting us in this battle and despite facing many obstacles, we will continue to combat the menace and won't run away from this responsibility. We would also like to thank our Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister, the police and other authorities for supporting us in this campaign", he said at the 27th anniversary dinner of the Province Wellesley North Petty Traders Association on Thursday.
However, there are many people vigorously fighting government authorities in trying to keep legitimate amusement centers open, but are now facing a hard battle caused by illegal operations.
