Pinfest 2016 opens for it's 5th consecutive year this weekend and the pinball festival is promising to deliver one of it's best weekends yet!

The show will once again take place at the Caves Beach Hotel in Swansea, near Newcastle, and will be open from 9:30-1:30 & 2:30-6:30 on Saturday and will be open between 9:30-3pm on Sunday. Entry will be $15 for adults and $25 for families.

Headlining the event will be Stern's new Ghostbusters Pro and Premium pinball machines, America's Most Haunted from Spooky Pinball, Andrew Kress's Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, Homepin's long-awaited Thunderbirds pinball!, and the world's first touchscreen full sized pinball machine from Arcooda, Arcooda Video Pinball Machine.

With over 50 pinballs set to free play for players to enjoy, the weekend will be jam-packed with fun and incredible opportunities!

Event organiser Chris Slevin is excited to see what another year will yield, saying, "This is the 5th year of Pinfest and the goal is still the same: To share our love of pinball and the good times it represents with as many people as possible, so new players can get a feel for what it's like and old players can remember and relive the good times from their younger days playing pinball. Showing that pinball is still alive and the fun is still there to be enjoyed."

"We are lucky to have been able to enjoy the time it takes to put these shows together, because the response from the people who come along has been so fantastic over the last 4 years, has made it well worthwhile. The happiness and joy we see over the weekend is always a pleaseure. Also we have been able to donate over $30,000 to local charities over this time, thanks to the members who generously give their time and most importantly their beloved pinball machines. This year we will be supporting MS Australia, Beyond Blue and Hunter Community Legal Centre."

This weekend's Pinfest is an annual must-attend event for anyone who loves pinball machines or gaming in general, and makes for a fun day out for the whole family. If you haven't been before, it's strongly recommended you come down and check it out... it is for charity after all!
