It's been revealed that a new round of location tests for Pokken Tournament will take place this weekend, March 7 & 8, at a range of locations in Japan.

Pokken Tournament has already done a round of location tests previously, and there has been much information about the game that has been revealed already concerning characters and the gameplay setup, which makes you wonder what this test may be for.

The game, if you are still somehow unaware, is a collaboration between Bandai Namco Games and Nintendo, combining Tekken fighting mechanics and applying them to the Pokemon franchise in this epic battle game. There are main characters which players select, including the iconic Pikachu, Lucario, Machamp, and more; there are also support sets of characters which players can choose from to assist them during battle.

The characters battle in stages using long range and melee range attacks, and all the characters have special moves.

The cabinet is a one player machine which links up to a second machine for 1vs1 battle and features a Nintendo console-styled control, rather than the classic arcade joystick and pushbutton controls. The cabinet will also use Bandai Namco's BANAPassport card system.

Test Locations:

– Sega Ikebukaru Gigo in Tokyo

– Tokyo Leisureland Akihabara

– Taito Station Shinjuku South Exit Game World Store

– Round One Stadium Sennichimae Store in Osaka
