Product roundup from JAEPO 2017 - VR, new arcade games

This article comes from Highwaygames.com

The 2017 Japan Amusement Expo (JAEPO) was held across the weekend and a number of new products were released alongside fresh sneak peaks and plays of already launched games.

One of the more interesting developments in the arcade gaming scene in Japan is how publishers have started to experiment with virtual reality (VR).

As seen at JAEPO 2017, arcade game publishers are no longer experimenting with VR but using it openly.

From Bandai Namco’s VR Zone to Koei Tecmo’s new VR Sense machine, arcade operators seem interested in these types of attractions for their customers.

While it’s clear VR isn’t going to replace traditional games anytime soon, it is being incorporated in arcades and games in a way that it seems it’s not about to go anywhere either.

Below is a round up of YouTube clips and tweets regarding some of the products that were covered by Highway Games before JAEPO.

Sega – Soul Reverse

Square Enix – Lord of Vermilion

Koei Tecmo – VR Sense

Taito – Densha De Go!

Taito – NESiCAxLive, King of Fighters XIV

Capcom – Attack On Titan

Konami – Bombergirl

Bandai Namco – VR Zone Project i Can
