Sega Amusements Europe has officially changed its name to Sega Amusements International Ltd. SAI is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sega Interactive Co. Ltd., a division of Sega Sammy Holdings, and will expand its existing reach of the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa), Russia, and The Americas to cover the entire globe outside of Japan.

Sega Japan will now focus its core strength on its domestic market and believes the team at SAI is best suited to move the company forward with greater autonomy to chart its own destiny and to develop territory-specific products.

Company headquarters will remain in London and current Sega Amusements Chief Operating Officer Paul Williams will lead the way as the newly appointed CEO.

By leveraging the company's strengths in innovation, creativity, and research and development, SAI is already looking forward to producing a range of products tailored for these new markets.

Senior game producer Mr. Ogasawara, known for the development of Transformers and Let's Go Jungle, will lead dedicated R&D teams based in the U.K. and the U.S.
