Sega & Namco Work Together on Game Development

WoW Entertainment, a Sega Subsidiary, has announced they have signed a deal with Namco to jointly develop future arcade titles, with their first release, Vampire Nights, to be shown at next week's AOU Trade Show.

Analysts said the arrangement with Namco, which will see Sega supply software to an arcade game machine compatible with Sony's PlayStation2, would allow both companies to lower costs. Sega, in co-operation with a subsidiary called Wow Entertainment, will help develop software and Namco will manufacture and distribute the machines.

Vampire Nights runs on the PlayStation2 arcade architecture dubbed 'System 246' and will feature six stages. It is themed around undead creatures attacking a small village which you must protect.
