Sega reveal RINGEDGE and RINGWIDE arcade hardwareThis article comes from Highwaygames.com Sega have showcased their new arcade hardware boards - the RINGEDGE and the RINGWIDE - at the AOU show in Japan. According to Sega, the Ring series of hardware will be used for a wide variety of titles while reducing costs by more than 30% compared to similar boards. The RINGEDGE is manufactured by Intel with a dual-core CPU, and NVIDIA GPU. The RINGWIDE is a versatile board providing a selection of price points. It has an Intel CPU, and an AMD GPU. Both boards will have support for Sega's ALL.Net service. At the AOU show Sega showcased the first game to use the new hardware, Border Break, which will be released later this year in Japan. Other titles are alreadly lined up for the new hardware, which has already entered into the production stage.
