Six Flags Entertainment Corp. announced a new partnership with NaVi Entertainment on Monday to build two Six Flags-branded parks in Vietnam.

The Grand Prairie-based theme park company said it is working with NaVi Entertainment, a private company based in Ho Chi Minh City, to build a theme park and water park in the southeast Asian country. The two parks are expected to open their doors in three to four years time.

“Our international licensing strategy is gaining momentum and provides strong long-term upside for the company above and beyond the growth opportunity of our North America properties,” said Six Flags chief executive John Duffey in a statement.

Six Flags currently operates 18 parks in the U.S., Mexico and Canada, and has signed international partnerships over the past few years to license its name for theme parks in other countries, including Dubai and China.

Earlier this year, Six Flags and Canadian-based Riverside Investment Group announced it had started work on the Six Flags park in Haiyan, south of Shanghai. The park is expected to open in 2019.
