Steering Group Meets to Confer Future Development of ICE
A select group of casino industry suppliers convened in London during April to discuss a range of issues affecting the current and future development of the International Casino Exhibition - ICE. The show's organisers, ATE, hosted a group of eleven representatives drawn from a cross-section of ICE exhibitors including Richard Cammegh (Cammegh), Karen Ferneux Beckett (EndX), Karen Thompson (IGT Europe), Rhoda Jansz (Mikohn Europe), Steve Treharne (PST), Alicia de Benito (Recreativos Franco), Tracy Cohen and Kate McClennan (TCS John Huxley), David Orrick (Unidesa), Peter Lingard and Olivia Marocco (VIP Gaming Solutions). Members of the development committee gave a resounding seal of approval to a motion calling for the continued development of the show in Earls Court 2 following the successful move from Earls Court 1 in January 2004. A number of operational matters were also debated including show opening hours, the possible introduction of conferences/seminars during ICE week, future policies on stand sizes, public relations initiatives, consumer media strategies and new/target market penetration.
ICE sales manager, Karen Cooke said, "Although we receive continual feedback from individual exhibitors throughout the year, there are few opportunities where we can all sit down together to discuss issues of mutual concern. The ICE development committee provides a unique forum to do just that, providing an ideal way to discuss new ideas that can later be put out for further consultation with the full list of exhibitors." ATE marketing and commercial director, Julian Graves said, "The best way for an exhibition to service an industry is by listening to its needs and acting upon them. Meetings such as this provide us with invaluable knowledge and added security that any future developments are in line with market expectations." ICE will take place at London's Earls Court 2 on 25-27 January 2005. For more information click this link.
