Stern Pinball introduces two new vice presidents into the company to support its aggressive growth plans, at the same time as they prepare to relocate next month to a 40,000 square-foot building in Elk Grove Village, Illinois.

Effective as of March 1st, Ray Tanzer became Vice President of Manufacturing. Ray assumes accountability for all activities connected to SPI's manufacturing operations. Ray, a Mechanical Engineer by training, started his career as a pinball designer and formerly was responsible for Product Development at SPI. He also served as Vice President of Manufacturing and Engineering at Namco America before returning to SPI in 2014. Since re-joining SPI, Ray has successfully led two very large projects including the company's upcoming move to new facilities.

On March 16th, Kevin Schechtel will join Stern as Vice President of Supply Chain Management, Program Management and Quality. Kevin joins SPI from its key supplier, Suzo-Happ Group, where he most recently served as Vice President of North American Operations, Global Quality and Continuous Improvement. Earlier in his career, Kevin worked at Motorola and Northrup Grumman. Kevin is a Mechanical Engineer who holds 19 patents. Kevin will lead the organization- wide Total Quality Improvement program and focus on improving the overall performance of SPI's supply chain.

"Ray and Kevin are great additions to our executive team," said Gary Stern, Chairman and CEO of Stern Pinball, Inc. "They fill complementary roles that are critically important to our continued growth and future success. Most importantly, they're extraordinary individuals who fit well with our culture."

The next step in Stern's aggressive growth plans includes a relocation! The new headquarters are to be located in Elk Grove Village, Ill. and is set to take place in April. The building includes 40,000 square-feet of floor space and will be located at 2001 Lunt Ave.

According to a report in the Daily Herald, Stern "is consolidating its Melrose Park headquarters and a warehouse near O'Hare International Airport," and "the company plans to hire workers, roll out new technology, and pursue additional worldwide markets including China and India."

Stern has been making a number of progressive moves lately following the release of their WWE Wrestlemania Pinball machine, which is the first in their line up to use Stern's much improved pinball Spike System technology. This technology run on Linux with a small CPU soundboard CAT5 cabling and LED lights. His system also includes several improvements on old features; including a USB port which allows for faster system updates, and short-circuit and static protection refined across the full spectrum of the table’s components.

It will be interesting to see what 2015 holds for Stern, kicking off the year with international launch parties and promotions of their Wrestlemania pinball machine.
