The VOID's Ghostbuster: Dimension virtual reality attraction in New York has received positive reviews, drawing crowds out into the city's unseasonable heat to play.

Ghostbusters: Dimension has been up and running in New York nonstop since July thanks to the company's partnership with Sony Pictures and Madame Tussauds New York. The attraction creates a physical space for groups of players to explore as Ghostbusters catching various specters around the city.

The attraction has been receiving promising reviews so far, with even the most skeptical of players usually won over by the end of the experience. Wired's Jake Barton reviewed the attraction most recently, expressing that he believes what The VOID does differentlt (and is ultimately it's success in using this technology commercially) is the group experience.

The dynamic of all the players together and creating a unique experience together that is totally immersive aids in creating an "emotional core", as Barton calls it. It's this connection to the experience that makes it successful.

The VOID now has a gameplay trailer available to be watched, for those intrigued by the concept and thinking of participating, and a sneak peek for the rest of us that can't make it. Although, the current success of the Ghostbuster: Dimension attraction could be good news for the future of virtual reality social technology.
