We're Still Cooking! Andamiro announces Krabby Patty Party whacker game for arcades

The lunchtime rush is on at the Krusty Krab where arcade-gamers take on the role of fry cook SpongeBob SquarePants to feed the zany sea creatures of Bikini Bottom. Krabby Patty Party, a new whacker game from Andamiro, invites players to apply their hand-eye coordination skills to serve up as many patties as possible by whacking them with a spatula.

Krabby Patty Party succeeds Andamiro's Order Up, the factory's first whacker game, introduced in 2017. Both games are inspired by the Nickelodeon's "SpongeBob SquarePants" animated TV sensation, which celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2019. Krabby Patty Party not only features Andamiro quality, but it also has the lowest price tag in its category, with an operator cost 20% to 35% less than competing whacker games.

Like its predecessor, Krabby Patty Party plays like most classic mallet games. It features a whacking instrument (the spatula) and targets (Krabby Patties) that randomly emerge. There are six positions on the playfield from which the Krabby Patties pop up. When a player successfully completes a series of five whacking combos, they win more tickets and enable the "rapid whack" stage to win even more tickets. Players with the best spatula skills score more points and win the most tickets.

"Krabby Patty Party is Andamiro's fifth SpongeBob title and the sixth game in our Nickelodeon family," said Andamiro USA president Drew Maniscalco. "We're committed to continuing our support for the classic mallet category and very excited about strengthening our relationship with Nickelodeon. Together, Andamiro and Nickelodeon are delivering best-in-class arcade games and brand equity to the operator community."

Last summer, Nickelodeon commemorated 20 years of SpongeBob SquarePants with the "Best Year Ever" tribute. SpongeBob launched July 17, 1999, and has reigned as the No. 1 kids' animated series for almost two decades, generating an abundance of beloved characters, legions of fans, and pop culture catchphrases and memes, along with consumer products, a Tony award-winning Broadway musical and major film releases. A new SpongeBob movie, "Sponge On The Run," will open in theaters in May.

Andamiro's Krabby Patty Party is available as a ticket redemption game or non-ticket amusement-only device. It can be ordered in one-, two- and four-player cabinet configurations; the latter multi-station options include enhanced marquees and can be ordered with different character graphics for each station. A single unit measures 29.1" W. x 35" D. x 62.9" H. (68.1" H. with the topper).

The new whacker game boasts Bikini Bottom cabinet graphics, entertaining music and SpongeBob voicing – BAAHHHAAHHHAHAHA! Gameplay and ticket redemption features are operator adjustable.

Krabby Patty Party is sold through Andamiro distributors and will begin shipping in mid-January.
