GRID - New from Sega
GRID - New from Sega
Sega Amusements Europe is yielding the benefits of a highly successful Product Launch last week at its UK headquarters. The event generated significant interest for new products Grid, Lets Go Island, Classic American Road Trip, Hummer Mini Deluxe, and the updated Sideshow.

The two days attracted customers, major distributors, operators, press as well as notable industry figures both from the UK and overseas.

"The launch was great for us, the people who attended, the atmosphere, the quality time we got to spend with them and them with us all worked perfectly. It was effective and provided a good environment for everyone", commented Justin Burke at Sega. According to Burke, Sega's unveiling of its new racer GRID "was exceptionally well received, with some operators saying it was the best driver they had ever played."

GRID brings the world of motorsport to life by featuring the most exhilarating race cars - from Aston Martins to Bugatti Veyrons that charge through iconic streets such as Milan, all while ensuring that the player is the star of the show. It also features a 32" high definition LCD display, LED lit cabinet, up to six player multiplayer feature, real damage to cars for added realism and game modes to suit a novice or a core player. Distributors and operators are placing pre-orders ahead of the games major release in October 2010.

Let's Go Island, the eagerly anticipated sequel to the highly successful Lets Go Jungle, made its European debut. The two-player with its motion seat, turret styled guns, 42" display and realistic sound effects immerse its players in a series of underwater adventures. Simple game play, comical story lines and multiple stages delivers a fun and enjoyable game for everyone. Highly profitable testing at key locations puts the game on target to be a big success for Sega. Let's Go Island will be released in December 2010 in both motion and 56" non-motion deluxe cabinet formats.

Also new at the event was the Classic American Road Trip redemption pusher. With its strong American theme, colourful visuals and good sound effects, this pusher attracts lots of players. The cleverly thought out bonus feature gets players to light up the iconic locations along Route 66 to receive a bonus splash of coins and by completing the route the player wins up to 500 tickets in bonus.

The new Hummer Mini Deluxe with its motion seat and an updated version of the Sideshow were also present amongst other Sega products.
