Biohazard Goes Europe-Wide

Based on the massively popular console title ‘Resident Evil', Namco Europe launched the eagerly anticipated two-player shooter ‘Biohazard' at its London-based Open House.

Described by Namco Europe sales director Gary Newman as ‘the next generation of shooting game', Biohazard fuses the action/puzzle format of the console platform with an adrenaline-soaked arcade experience. The familiar gun assembly doubles as a joystick, allowing players total access to the game's fully-interactive 360° environment, dubbed ‘Lockout Island'. As they try and blast their way through five increasingly demanding stages, players can search the zombie-ridden terrain for keys and power-ups which automatically upgrade the gun assembly's sub-weapon.

Accurate sharpshooters who complete Biohazard's five stages in less than 25 minutes with five collectable jewels are rewarded with access to the bonus level, while the awesome Nemesis character, from the Resident Evil title, awaits players who run out of time.

Available in a dedicated two-player cabinet, Biohazard will be distributed by Brent Sales in the UK and by Namco Europe in continental Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
