Merit's Finance Program Extended Until Aug 31
Industries, Inc. has extended the enrollment deadline from August 15, 2001 to August 31, 2001. The deal offers 24-month financing, with a full 180 days before the first payment is due.

"Our distributors have been swamped with orders from operators who recognized that this is a smart plan, and one that allows them to earn money on games that don't have to be paid for a full 180 days," said Dave Myers, Merit's Vice President of Marketing and Business Development.

Under the plan, if an operator purchases the minimum five games required to qualify during the last week of the promotion, he won't have to pay for his machines until March of 2002. In the meantime, he'll be collecting cashbox returns on the units, allowing them to nearly pay for themselves.

"This Finance Plan has been so successful that it has resulted in a backlog that Merit is still catching up on," said Myers. "We underestimated the impact of the program and wanted to make sure that all operators can take full advantage of the Plan and we're extending the deal for an additional 16 days to ensure that that happens," Myers said. "This definitely shows that a great promotion on a great product will stimulate sales. It's also another example of Merit being committed to the idea of keeping operators healthy and helping them to grow their businesses," he added.
