At a time when the UK manufacturing sector is reported to be in the doldrums, Maygay Machines Limited, the Bushbury based developer and manufacturer of amusement and gaming equipment, is delighted to announce a 10% increase in the size of its factory workforce.

The company is currently leading the UK fruit machine market with its stunning interpretation of The Italian Job, and the UK skill with prize (SWP) market with the ultimate question and answer game, Trivial Pursuit.

These successes, coupled with continued progress in European markets and a strong throughput of branded games and sub-contracted strategic partner product, have kept the fires burning and the people pouring in.

Since early summer, construction has been in progress in preparation for this substantial growth in staff numbers. Internal work is now complete on an additional 3,000 square ft of office space, and work will shortly start on an 8,000 square ft extension to the existing production and distribution area.

Maygay's Executive Chairman Roy Howell believes that this growth in both resources and personnel is a result of successful strategic planning: "The Maygay vision is to create a business that is multi-disciplined. During the last three years, we have increased the number of different brands going through our factory. This has resulted in increased levels of production and improved job security for our people. The employment of further full-time staff from within our immediate local area is an expression of our confidence in the continued growth of the Maygay Group."
