Zamperla Ride Fatality Charges Dismissed
Amusement ride manufacturing giant Zamperla have been dismissed of charges involving one of their roller coaster rides occuring two years ago. The company have issued the following statement in the relating court case: "In August 1999 there was an incident at Gillian's Wonderland Pier on a Zamperla Zig Zag roller coaster that resulted in two fatalities. Initially, Zamperla had been charged by the Department of Community Affairs, Division of Codes and Standards of the State of New Jersey in connection with the case. All charges brought against Zamperla Inc. relating to this roller coaster incident have been completely dismissed by the court."
