Entertainment Companies to Produce "PubWars"
uWink, Inc., an entertainment network company, and Evolution Film & Tape, Inc., an innovative reality TV production company, have announced that they have signed a strategic agreement to produce a television version of "PubWars", based on the highly successful interactive video game "Missfits" played in pubs and bars across the U.S. The television quiz show incorporates elements of reality TV and home-town bar loyalties, where contestants are pitted against each other playing uWink's knowledge game "Missfits". Under the agreement, Evolution will be the exclusive production company and Executive Producer.

"We are delighted to partner with Evolution on this project. Their expertise with reality television and such hits as the first season production of the U.S. version of Fear Factor and Big Brother and Disney Channel's Bug Juice, Totally Hoops and Movie Surfers fits perfectly with our desire to bring the excitement of competing in our tournaments to television," said Nolan Bushnell, CEO of uWink. "Evolution's internal use of technology in their corporate culture is in keeping with our ‘network centric' way of doing business."

"Teaming with uWink to create PubWars enables us to give the average viewer an unprecedented level of inclusiveness and interactivity and allows us to introduce the show to an already established national base of gamers," said Douglas Ross, President of Evolution. "The interactive style of uWink's games lends itself perfectly to the creation of a television game show. We are excited to work with them to increase this interactivity and bring the show to an even broader audience."

uWink's networked terminals, located in bars, restaurants and other public places nationwide, provide video games and other entertainment. Players of uWink's hit game "Missfits" will compete in their local establishments for the opportunity to represent those locations in the studio. The show will feature three new bars each week, offering glimpses of people across America enjoying themselves in their favorite entertainment spots. uWink's network allows the patrons in those locations to play "Missfits" and earn bonuses for their studio representatives. "Anyone can become a contestant or team player on the show," stated Nolan Bushnell. "The excitement of pitting geographical rivalries against each other will direct an entirely new viewership to the program, not unlike professional and collegiate sports competitions."
