Sega & Namco to Expand Amusement Alliance
Sega Corp & Namco Ltd have recently announced that they have agreed to expand their alliance on amusement arcade business, aiming for cost efficiency and to create a new entertainment service.
The alliance would include logistics, procurement, maintenance service and development of motherboards for a new arcade game machine, Sega Chief Operating Officer Tetsu Kayama told a news conference.
He said Namco may eventually invest in Sega's logistic service unit.
In February, the two firms said they had agreed to cooperate in development of games for arcade centres and might explore further collaboration.
