Paramount Parks Makes Rollout Purchase For 2002 Season
St. Louis, Missouri. Paramount Parks, Inc. has purchased four VR Performance Theaters for its theme parks in the United States and Canada. Paramount joins Six Flags as the second top-ten theme park chain to directly purchase Ham On Rye's innovative and highly profitable attraction.
Ham On Rye's Executive Vice President, Susan Sprout, explains the decision: "Paramount is an aggressive company that moves quickly to capitalize on new successes, and has a rich understanding of the value of performance and live entertainment in its mix. Our attraction is a completely new combination of live interactive performance and high-technology immersive games, and adds a very new flavor to a theme park's entertainment choices that guests appreciate. We are honored to be chosen by Paramount, as their quality standards are at the peak of the industry."
Randy Sprout, President, places Paramount's purchase in the perspective of Ham On Rye's product introduction strategy: "While we know that the product is successful in many different types of venues, from theme parks to malls to FECs, we have focused our initial marketing efforts on a few of the major theme park chains. These showcase installations can prove to the rest of the industry the exceptional earning power of the VR Performance Theater. Theaters we have installed during the 2001 season are earning consistently over $15,000 per week, and have achieved full payback in well under one season of operation."
The VR Performance Theater was the winner of the Best New Product award and the Image award at IAAPA 2000, and is now installed in a growing variety of theme parks, public sites, and retail centers worldwide.
