In the past USA summer, four major live Golden Tee events were held showcasing the best players on Golden Tee who competed head-to-head in live tournaments.
Besides these major events, thousands of smaller, local events are held each year in bars across the country. "We encourage all Golden Tee players of every skill level to participate in local tournaments and contests held by their local operators," said Cortney Black, marketing associate at IT. "It's a great way to meet new people, have fun, and maybe win something at the same time. Our new operator-run, in-house league program is the perfect way to compete locally," she said.
Operators and players should mark their calendars now for next January 1-21, 2002. Those are the dates for Qualifier VI, the national online tournament that qualifies players for the annual Golden Tee National Championship in Las Vegas. Operators are encouraged to actively promote the Qualifier, as it will be the largest online tournament of the year. All Gold Division and Silver Division players are eligible to qualify for the Championship. This year the top 42 Gold Division scores and the top 20 Silver Division scores will secure an all-expenses paid trip to the ultimate live Golden Tee experience: the 2002 Golden Tee National Championship held in Las Vegas on March 2-3!
