National Ticket Co Bring Smart Ticketing to the World
In the past entertainment centers have relied on the sale of paper tickets as admission for rides and games. National Ticket Co has presented a new way of doing business "smart" ticketing.

The system is computer-aided, which will add efficiency and security to family entertainment facilities, and in turn, benefit the consumer who can carry less cash, and will also benefit by faster moving lines.

"This a potential boon to the entertainment industry and the consumer. With our smart card technology, visitors to amusement centers simply swipe their cards to gain entry to rides and games. Smart tickets can be used to buy lunches and snacks and purchase souvenirs," said Peter Kuzma, President of X-ident USA LLC the international leader in "smart" tag technologies. "What this technology seeks to do is to solve problems that have not been adequately addressed by existing technologies. The end result should be an enhanced customer experience and better profits for the family entertainment industry."

X-ident, has licensed its RFID ticket technology to National Ticket, the premier ticket printer. X-ident's RFID technology is based on a transponder located in a microchip with an antenna capable of receiving and transmitting information. Its counterparts are readers located in strategic points, which read this code through a radio-frequency pulse and transmits data to a server for further processing. The data processing capacity can be implemented within a card, ticket or bracelet.

Software programmers will find they can write very specific programs geared to a particular entertainment arena, be it a sports stadium or an amusement park. National Ticket, using X-ident technology then provides the end product, or the "smart" ticket that can read the program.

"The integration of these products will potentially allow for more efficient control of cash flow, with all monetary capital exchanged via a standard apparatus-- a card, ticket or bracelet-- issued at the check-in or ticket counter, or perhaps mailed to the individual when they call ahead," said Kuzma. "Ideally, lines move quicker, so you have less frustrated customers. Facilities' managers will be able to monitor what games and rides are the most popular and market their facilities accordingly."

The "smart" cards also create an important security tool. As an example, the system may be able to locate groups and individuals in an entertainment arena, safeguarding against possible hazards and other threats. The people flow can be accessed to find out which way people are travelling through the facility, alerting the staff to any rerouting needs.

"What the consumer will find is that "smart" ticketing will enhance security, because we'll know who is entering and leaving these venues. The consumer won't have to carry cash, and a stolen smart tickets can be cancelled immediately. ," said Tim Timco, National Ticket Company's Director of Sales.

Under the terms of the licensing agreement, X-ident USA's parent company in Germany, X-ident GmbH, will complete part of the production process and National Ticket will finalize the product, equipped with the tools specified for X-ident's technology.

"These products are meant to be customized to each business owner's needs," said Timco. "Our intent is not to mass market, but rather to solve a specific problem. So if a sports arena is experiencing long waits for people to pass through their entry gates, a software programmer can design "smart" entry passes that can scan several cards at once. We manufacturer the cards to those specifications."

"The beauty of RFID technology is that it can easily be customized," added Kuzma. "Not only is it ideal for this industry, but it is finding unlimited applications in many industries that rely on inventory control, better tracking, and improved security."
