Ilusiona of Barcelona, owner of 25 bowling and arcade centers throughout Spain, blends the traditional with the very latest high-tech. Their arcades thrive on diversity by placing billiards alongside the very latest video games and fairground amusements right next to virtual reality. And now the Bolera Gorbea Bowling Center in Zigoitia has acquired the family friendly feature attraction; MaxFlight's VR2002 Roller Coaster Simulator.

MaxFlight invented the concept of "design and ride" your own roller coaster, so different family members can custom create their very own level of thrill, from mild to wild. A patron steps up to a computer kiosk prior to boarding the ride and selects several track pieces, building a unique journey through an awesome futuristic space asteroid. Over a billion different ride combinations are possible. Once secured inside the bright red coaster cab, riders are lifted 12 feet above the ground and take off, actually doing every spin, twist, dive and 360-degree roll they see on a huge 58" screen in front of them.

Located near Vitoria in Alava, Zigoitia's 2000 sq meters Bolera Gorbea Bowling Center is a model of Ilusiona's integrated design. With the bowling lanes as the main axis, several areas create the complete leisure-time package. The Game Zone has the best, latest and most interactive games available. The Park King offers a dynamic children's playground and the Metropolitan All-American Café specializes in American fast food.

VR2002 Roller Coaster has a unique forward-of-the-axis technology that allows full 360- degree rotation in two different directions. "Where other rides on the market try to fake-out your senses," said McClintic, "with MaxFlight, what you view is what you do."
