- * Europe: The changeover to the Euro has gone through pretty smoothly with most operators sucessfully changing over to the new currency, main problems seem to be lack of conversion kits for hoppers and difficluties with many of the handheld mech converters not being accurate enough.
- * UK: Milennium Dome is set to become a huge casino. In an attempt to turn the fortunes of the Millenium Dome around a new consortium AEG is proposing converting this site into a casino with hotels and restaurants.
- * UK: Sega appoint Leon Deith Sales and Crown Leisure as its exclusive distributors for the UK and Ireland.
- * Germany: Udo Nickel has left Nova to set up a new divison of Austrian gaming, the new Co will be called Nova uk.
- * UK: London Clubs International have posted a US27 million operating loss for the six months to September 30th, the major burden for them has been the demise of the Aladdin Casino in Vegas which is in Chapter 11.
- * UK: Cromptons have been granted an extension on their adminstration to the 18th January, interested parties are said to include Leisurelink- Crown Leisure and Jimmy Godden.
- * UK: We understand that the bid by Aristocrat for Australia to aquire Maygay in the UK has now been withdrawn, no further details are available.
