The last months of the year have brought no legislative or fiscal news as expected. Operators are still waiting for payment of 2001 taxes to be cleared. There is still a chance to make an amendment to the new decree in the law regulating coin-op machines (388/00), issued some days before Christmas, concerning games and bets.
These uncertain times make it very hard for operators to plan for the future. Nevertheless, Enada Spring, which will be held from 7th to 10th March abd has already collected a high number of reservations. That means Italian companies have not given up and still believe in the future of the industry. The Enada Spring will be the most spectacular of all time, as it will be held in the magnificient new structure along the Via Emilia in Rimini.
The other great event of the new year is the issuing of Automat-Year Book 2002. Not only a magazine, but a powerful resource tool, entirely translated in English which contains all the information required to get in touch with Sapar's activity and the entire Italian coin-op industry. It features a Directory of every Italian producer and distributor, as well as e sections devoted to the Euromat, the National Associations in Europe, and the international exhibitions and magazines. The Year Book's aim is to offer the foreign companies a new and interesting way to promote their business in Italy.
