Sega Withdraws Sheds IPS Division
Sega recently announced that it will stop all ISP activities by the end of the first quarter of this year. Sega had major stakes in Japan, USA and Europe, all these territories were deemed unprofitable and Sega has already been it's winding up in all territories.

The Sega Internet facilities served as servers for online gaming for the console system "Dreamcast" as well in some parts as an ISP. Japan has already made plans to sell their market share to another Japanese ISP "Isao Corp". In the US Sega's company "Sega.com Inc" has already filed for Chapter 11. Lastly Sega Europe's "Dreamarena" is in the midst of selling off it's assests.

Sega hope by sheding this unprofitable division and further restructuring of some of it's other divisions, such as the US arcade division, will yield positive growth in the future.
