Third EuroTechno Conference in Amsterdam
Third EuroTechno Conference in Amsterdam
The third annual EuroTechno Conference will take place on Tuesday 14 May at the Renaissance Hotel, Amsterdam. The one-day prestige event, entitled ‘The Definitive Technology Focussed Conference', is being researched and managed by ATE Limited on behalf of Euromat.

A provisional conference programme is being drawn up following the inaugural meeting of the EuroTechno Steering Committee which took place at January's ATEI held in London. The Advisory Panel comprises Eduardo Antoja (President, Euromat), Dirk Lindenbergh (Non Executive Director, JVH), Russell Smith (First Vice President, Euromat), Günter Steinau (Chief Information Officer, Gauselmann AG), José Miguel Esteban (Marketing Director, R. Franco), Maurits Bruggink (Euromat Secretariat), Nick Harding (MD, RAL Holdings), Roy Howell (Executive Chairman, Maygay), and Theo Van Dijck (MD, JVH Gaming BV).

Eduardo Antoja, President of Euromat, believes that EuroTechno will once again prove to be a ‘must-do event' for Europe's gaming and gambling industries: "The conference will examine how gaming and gambling can harness new technology to satisfy the increasingly sophisticated demands of consumers," he said. "We are focussing on how technology can be used by entrepreneurs and hands-on business people working in the industry. EuroTechno will be a practical conference, which will leave delegates better equipped to apply new technology to their businesses."

Keynote addresses at EuroTechno 2002 will examine a broad range of subject matter including, amongst others, how to make money from the emerging home entertainment market, the impact video slots have had on the casino industry, the challenges of converting content across different platforms and the changing environment of traditional gaming and betting services. Two workshop sessions will explore future payment systems for the coin-op industry and the impact of wireless technologies on machine content delivery. The closing panel session will examine the boundaries of current coin-op technology. A full programme will be issued shortly.

The third annual EuroTechno conference, which is seeking to build on last year's excellent attendance of 160 delegates from 14 nations, has already gained widespread support from the industry with sponsorship received from Innovative Technologies (Special Sponsor), Azkoyen and Cirsa (Founder Sponsors), R Franco (Gold Sponsor) and Euromat's official media partner AB Europe.

The cost of attending the May 14th conference in Amsterdam is 550 euros/delegate, to include lunch and attendance at the pre-conference cocktail reception, which is being sponsored by Innovative Technologies and takes place on May 13th.
